I have some questions that have nagged me for a while now and really need to be answered. What if, I use a momentary push button switch to jog an axis ? First, how would that be wired? Where would it plug in? How many conductors wire to use? I would use keygrabber to alocate the proper keystroke variable. OK here's the deal. I want to build a simple, real simple, jogging pendant for my homebrew mill and I think I can use these switches to accomplish this. Please someone tell me if I'm right or wrong about this idea. I think three of them wired up will jog the axis they are assigned to????????? Please help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

| I think you'd need two for each axis to jog in opposite directions. Just wire them to the parallel port or bob, one wire to an input pin, one wire to ground. Then assign the input pins to the OEM Triggers and assign the jogging keys to the triggers (all on the input pins setup page). You don't need keygrabber for this.

| Ger21, I am severely electronically challenged, I mean brain dead to it, what would the schematic look like? That, is really what I'm looking for, the schematic. I can follow a wiring diagram , without the electronic symbols. Have any ideas that you could put to paper for something like this? I would be appreciative. |

The switch should have 2 wires. One wire goes to the input pin on the parallel port or bob, the other goes to a ground pin (18-25) or the ground on the bob.
