Used pulse generator pendants or schematics?

Hi All,

Does anyone know where to acquire a used pendant or the schematic to build one. I have one axis to control and would like to avoid the cost of buying a new one.

Koyo makes a pulse code generator that gives speed and direction output pulses. They should be able to provide a schematic to simplify your task

A couple of cheap ways is to either pick up a used PWG on on ebay, the attached is ones I put together, I get a local engraver to make the lamacoid panel.
Or you can use a 100p/turn encoder, but you would have to make the indent mechanism, if you want that feature.

Red Lion has bi-directional counters that could be used for DIY MPG.

Pretty sure they put out quadrature output. A simple gear with a detent arrangement could give you a tactile feedback.
