This isn't exactly CNC related, but I'm sure the knowledge is out there. I'm trying to monitor how long my Air Conditioner is on. I want to setup a switch to sense when the current is flowing and simply switch on a clock that will keep track. Is there any simple way to do this? I don't need it to tell me how much current is flowing, just to turn on when current is flowing. Thanks a ton! |

| Microwitch fitted with a little vane in front of the cool air outlet on the air conditioner. When air starts blowing the vane is deflected and the switch turns on.

| There ones made specifically like Geof mentioned also these are current sensors http://www.ewccontrols.com/acrobat/s...90377a0122.pdf as well as Honeywell make current sensor, the CSDA range specifically. Al.

Stop giving away secrets I want people to think I am creative and imaginative not just some hack who remembers seeing an advertisement in the Princess Auto catalogue.

Geof's got the P.A. Catalogue. I have all back copies of Reader Digest, between us we can answer just about anything........ If you make one, you need to get the lighest activated Microswitch, they do have different operating pressures. This is a typical one that is very sensitive. http://www.mcleanthermal.com/graphics/pdfs/98,99.pdf Al.

Because English cannot understand it, I use an interpreter. I cannot express it definitely. I am related to the design of the performance measurement device of the air conditioner and am familiar with most. However, I retire now. There is the difference in large amount of money at the device by measurement contents. I think that it is possible for appropriate advice if I understand it I am aimed, and what you measure on how much scale. Kyoji |
