If the magnetic flux coming from a permanent magnet rotor flows through the stator, maybe using an iron tube would help when removing the rotor out of the stator. If the iron tube is close to the stator and when removing the rotor magnetic flux will use the iron tube and the flux wont be cut. Will this way be safe to disassemble a motor or just safier, in terms of loss of stored magnetic energy and hence the torque. Konstantin. |

| I have thought about the same remedy, and would use it if it is really necessary to take out the rotor. In theory it should work if the tube is fairly thick. But if that theory holds in practice I don't know. |
