Or this...

www.ajaxcnc.com

Depends how large the cutter should be and how much you want to mess (work) with yourself.

Plasma bed

Hi!

No, I've not seen any plans but it could not be that difficult...
One hint is to look for standard aluminium profiles that you cut ans assembly quick and easy with ordinary bolts amd nuts. Then use linear guide rails with trolleys (or what's it called in english) I use from Bosch Rexroth here in Sweden (STAR linjärteknik) and they also have ballscrews.

You probably don't need the best accuracy on a plasma bed so there should be cheeper alternatives to find.

In my opinion forget steppers and go for servo motors. Depends on the budget of cource, but a better start is much more worth at the end.

Good luck!
Best regards

I don't know if I understand that desk is no problem of accuracy that servos i important for accuracy. I planned for using roller whells for sliding doors because in Croatia I can't find aluminium profiles. Gantry is more problematic because parts.

I also planned servos... but how I say specific parts here is proble so I need to think something because I don't want to put on machine chain system but lath...

p.s. It will be steady for me to have some serious plan for building
