Does anyone know: With a 2000 line rotary encoder, do I get 2000 counts, or do I get 4 times that? Thank you for your help   |

| Depends on the software reading it. If it is in quadrature (most are), you will get 4*2000 or 8000 PPR If it is only reading the single lines, then it will be 2000 (I have only seen reference to this mode a couple of times in the past few years
