can i use a router speed controler to vary the current going into a torodial transformer? if that will not work, can i use it either before or after the capcitor when it is dc to vary the voltage? i need 95 volts max.thanks greg |

| Not the best idea and it will not work in all the senario's you mention. Also the technology varies on router controls from PWM to phase angle control. I would look at removing/adding turns to the Toroid first. Do you want to increase or decrease the secondary? Al.

| i have a 90volt dc motor.. theps output is 92 volts i was thinkingthat maybe i could use the router controller to slow the motot down by using it instead of buying a motor controller rated for 110 volts @ 15amps. i as just wondering, maybe i could use something i already had instead of buying a controller. thanks for sharing your knowlege. greg |

| If it is the AC speed control that is used on universal motors, you may be able to use it in the AC secondary between the secondary and the bridge. Is it a Universal motor or a permanent magnet field type? Al.
