| Hi folks, Can I get some advice on fan speed control please? The panel will include 6 115VAC fans, under 1amp each. Motors appear to be 2 Pole Permanent Split Capacitor type (I have to double check that). Can I use this type of wall mount device: ![]() Any help will be appreciated! |

| I would have suspected that they were shaded pole motors for that low current fans, (cheaper to make) if so they are compatible with triac type controls as you appear to have shown in your pic. The permanent capacitor split phase should also be OK, I would tend to start them at max. speed not the lowest initial setting. Generally they are one or the other of the above type motor for that current rating. Al.
