I recommend that you try to find a supply with a voltage rating of at least 35 Volts DC, and not exceeding 48 to 50 Volts DC. The current rating will need to be on the order of 12 Amps @ 35 Volts and at 48 Volts the current rating can be lower at 10 amps. Hope this helps. Gecko's can work up to 80 Volts DC, but I personally would only run steppers up to about 48 Volts. Jerry |

| Thanks Jerry. That helps a lot. I know nothing about power supplies. I like these because the digital read outs makes it easy for me. I'm considering a larger one linked below as well. Do I really need a full 36 v or will this 30v unit do. In terms of connectors, will these work? http://cgi.ebay.com/MASTECH-DC-REGUL...QQcmdZViewItem |

| It really depends on the voltage and current ratings of your steppers.

| jimluu, Here is a power supply that will probably work for you. What is the current rating on your steppers? EDIT: If you do need additional current, you can always use 2 of these supplies in link below. Many members purchase from this guy. He also has different voltage supplies at different times. They are hard to beat for the money. Your supply DOES NOT NEED to be regulated. http://cgi.ebay.com/35V-15A-500W-Pow...QQcmdZViewItem Jerry Last edited by CJL5585; 04-29-2007 at 11:09 PM.
