| Man, I am having a really good experience with the circuit design of a laser controller. I have been using <A HREF = "http://www.cadsoftusa.com/">eagle</A> software which is rock solid. I used it to output a description of all the wire <a href = "http://nilno.com/laser_dir/pin_list.txt">networks</A>. I wrote a perl program that parsed the wire networks file from Eagle, and combined it with the locations of the chip positions on my wire wrap board. The perl program outputs a file of the <a href = "http://nilno.com/laser_dir/wire_wrap.txt">networks</A> as wirewrap locations on my board, and I had the same program create a <A HREF = "http://nilno.com/laser_dir/wire_wrap.pdf">drawing</A> that shows the chips. This <A HREF = "http://nilno.com/laser_dir/laser_control.sch">file</A> is the eagle formatted file. Remember, the software is free. Eagle writes eps files, which I converted to <A HREF = "http://nilno.com/laser_dir/schematic.pdf">pdf</A> using illustrator. My wirewrap board is shown <a href="http://nilno.com/laser_dir/electronics_board.jpg">here</A> The blue tape marks are placeholders for chip positions which correspond to the boxes in the <A HREF = "http://nilno.com/laser_dir/wire_wrap.pdf">drawing</A>. I know, its not much to look at, I have yet to actually wire the damn thing. I'll start on that tonight. But as far as software support goes, these are good times. owen |
