I am trying (or more appropriately "STRUGGLING") to build a CNC pendant for jogging my homemade cnc milling machine, using mach-3 software. The machine is built and all otherwise functional.
I am trying to build THREE manual puse generators, one for each axis. I would like to use a simple thumbswheel encoder (like these): http://www3.alps.co.jp/WebObjects/ca...C12E/EC12E.PDF
but the problem is it outputs an incremental pulse signal, between each CLICK (or detent):
and I need a thumbswheel switch that will output a 90 degree signal, on each detent (or "click") as shown here:
------
If anyone has experience with thumbswheel encoders I would appreciate some advice, links and / or part numbers - please; thanks.
