I scrounged four small computer servers from work that were about to make it to the trash bend. My first thought was only wanting them for the case, I figure I can put all of the electronics plus the pc in one case with a little modifying here and their. I only need one but 4 were in the pile and just could not let them end up in the dumpster.
I know zip about PC power supplies other than I need a load on the 5v connection. I don’t think there is enough output to power the servos for my yet to be build/buy cnc router. Will someone please take a look at the picture of the specs of the power supply and let me know if they would be of any real use or should I chuck them.
I ended up with 6 power supplies with all the same specs so I’m wondering if I connected the output of two or more I would be able get more use out of them. Not sure if this would be wise of me, as I would most likely smoke them with my lack of knowledge, plus I would like to be around long enough to build a complete cnc router.
Thanks for any info/direction.
