I had occasion to take apart my stepper electronics enclosure to make some changes to it, and I wanted to label all the cables so I could get things back to the right place. A little bit of Googling and I was able to find some products to help me out: We already had the label making machine, which was ideal for labeling the back panel as well as which Geckodrive went with which axis. The two blue dispensers are the new products I found at CableOrganizer.com. The one on the far left dispenses digits, which are ideal for small wires. The one in the middle has labels you can write on. They make it real quick and easy to label all your cables: The numbers could either be used to go back to a key (printed and affixed to an inside panel somewhere?), or in my case, I simply labeled the wires according to which Gecko terminal # I wanted to connect them to. Works like a champ and delivers very professional results! Best, BW |
