    stepmasternc drives

I purchased a set from www.stepmasternc.com and I dont know how to set up the voltage and current on the board.

    I got the instruction here:
    http://www.stepmasternc.com/datasheet1axissop-1.pdf

but still dont know how to test for voltage output and ampere for the motors. Last I had the unit plugged in at 24vdc, the motor and the board got hot so I quickly disconnected it.

I hoping someone who have the same board can help me solve this dilema before I plug it in again to run some samples codes.

Formula for proper Vref at said TP 1= (1.25 x desired current value)
(i.e. stepper motor current rating of 2 amps = Vref of 2.5 vdc)
Let's say your motor is rated for 1 Ampere per phase, then adjust 1.25 x 1= 1.25 Volts between ground and Tp1 using VR1.

VR2 adjustment is intended to change the %Slow/Fast decay, leave it as it is and follow the instructions if you want better performance.
