I thought that most stepper motor DRIVERS are 4 wire ?? Thus you only need 4 conducter to wire the motors ?? Did I miss something ??

Well, at any given time you can find wire on Ebay. Takes a bit of searching sometimes.

Home depot has multi-wire with shield, I've gotten some there too.

Also I've gone to one or another of the local electrical companies here and asked. They usually had what I needed. Sometimes I was required to pay...sometimes not.

That wire (shown) is 22 AWG I STRONGLY question that it can stand up
to the 3.5 Amps you mentioned before.

    Look here
    ( http://www.powerstream.com/Wire_Size.htm) for a chart showing
Wire Gauge vs. Current Capicity. look at the 'power transmission'
Collum because you ARE transmitting power to those motors.

Action electronics has shielded wire in 4, 6, or whatever you want conductors. You should go for the shielded to keep the noise down in your system. I bought 6 wire. I use it for encoders, limits, and other connections as well.

    Best,

BobWarfield: I find web page Action electronics but I not find shielded 6 wire.

Where to buy shielded 6 wire maybe in Europa.

That's funny as the picture you posted above is from their catalog.
