| Question on GE series 1 plc's we just bought a used Mattison grinder (87) and the guy who set it up was going to copy the program down from the plc with a "reader" and put it on a cassette tape so we would have it incases of power spikes or surges and we lose our program. The plc has a jack for a tape player in it and switch for run and program. Was his reader just a tape player can I down load this myself. Does any one know about these plcs. |

| You can use most cassette recorders for this, although you may have to tweak the tone control. Another option would be to get a copy of LogicMaster1. This would allow you to load/store the program via a PC. Also, you would be able to view and edit the ladder logic. GE Fanuc has a user forum you might take a look at... http://www.geindustrial.com/cwc/gefanuc/index.jsp |
