What part of the electric moter determines speed and which determinte hp or torque? Number of winding????wire size, length of winding mass, etc. Any help would be apprediated Mike

| Hi Mariss! On the motor lets start with something like a 3 1/4 hp porter cable that runs at 5 different speeds from 5,000 to 20??K. Diameter of the motor body on the outside is about 4 or 4 1/2" and 8" long. That is overall so the armature would have to be much smaller than that. What I am wanting is a 5-7 hp motor 220/240 vac built around a relative large diam. spindle that is hollow. Mike btw I love my geckos
