I was able to pick up a TOROID TRANSFORMER @ HSC (http://www.halted.com/) for $14.95
its rated @ 70V with a centertap so 35V on each side. Im trying to understand the spec sheet. I want to know what the VA output is.

From it's size in the picture and the tag on the side it looks to be 650va.
If it's not nailed down, it's mine.
If I can pry it loose, it's not nailed down.
