Hi I have started getting things together for my mill conversion and would like some input on breakout boards. I will be running geckos, 640oz bipolar motors and mach2 software. I don't see much out there on the pro's and con's of the different boards they all seem to offer standard items, charge pump, relays etc.. what i dont know is what effect do any of these boards have on control, speed,etc.. I seem to like the pmdx boards but don't know what to expect between the basic 120, 122 and the 131. I also have looked at the campbell and hobbycnc. any info to help me make my final choice is appreciated thanks gads |

| Pretty much all the breakout boards will do the same basic things. Which is best for you depends on what features you need. How many inputs, relays, charge pump, .... If you plan on haveing a control panel with a lot of switches, then you may need a lot of inputs, which might call for a second board. The PMDX 131 is also a "motherboard" to mount the Gecko's to. Figure out what you'll need for your particular setup. amd find the board that will work best for your setup. You might also want to look at www.cnc4pc.com PS. Skip Mach2, and start with Mach3
