How to wire three limit switches

    Hi
I purchased three limit switches from automation direct. I was attempting to wire the limits together so I could use one input on the sound logic board for all three. It seems I have the wiring incorrect. I`m using the NC contacts and linking them as christmas lights are wired but when tested with the multi-meter only the first limit in the run goes open. As a result of the test it would seem I`m clueless as to how to successfully wire these switches. Hoping for some help here.
    Thanks and Regards , Barry

    Bgolash,
sounds like you have it correct.
    Something like this:

    +5--/\/\/\--|
    Port---------------\--------\------\----Gnd
    Resistor Sw1 Sw2 Sw3

Wire +5 through a pullup resistor to input of Sw1, Output of Sw1 to input of Sw2 etc.

Hook the junction of the pullup resistor and input of Sw1 to the port on your breakout board. In this case, the limit will be active high.
