does any one know how to rewire a 3 phase to a 220 single phase. The
machine is a 3 axis cnc the controller and collent pump are 110-120v is there a way to make it work.

What part of the machine is actually running on three phase? If just the Spindle motor, you may be able to just fit a VFD for the spindle only.

Yes it only the spindle motor, but there is a simplier way then that I heard that rewiring the motor will do the trick is that correct
There is nothing much simpler than a static phase converter. It's just a relay and a couple of caps.
If it's a standard 3ph induction motor, the only option on the motor itself is to make sure the taps are set for 220v instead of 440v, but rewiring is not an option. You have to make sure the servo's are single phase input, 120 or 240.Originally Posted by drill
I have picked up VFD's on ebay cheap, and you get the added advantage of variable spindle control, What kind of spindle control do you have at present?

Are you only looking to run the pump and controller off single phase, and the spindle with 3? IE, you have 3 phase and need a 1ph supply as well?
If so, do you know if your 3ph is delta or wye configuration?
