| Check out Red Lion. They have quadrature encoders and other MPG's that are used for making measuring equipment. One should easily be able to adapt them to hand operation for MPG. You can also use a 555 to make a "one shot" to index a click at a time. You can also set up a 555 as an astable multivibrator and feed it to a two input AND chip. Some simple push buttons and some pull down resistors would enable the outputs to provide FWD and REV direction commands in faster, continuous move mode. It all depends how fancy you want to get and how much electronics you know/want to learn as to how to go about doing what you want to do. |
