Hi I need to change my z axis stepper to a larger motor. It seems I`m loosing steps on the Z axis. I have a secondary power supply in place that has a max amp rating of 4 amps. It seems now the supply is too small for the homeshopcnc stepper I`d like to use. So I need a new transformer for the z and a potential 4th axis. I don`t have room in the enclosure for a toridal transformer so I need a recommendation for a standard square transformer and also a recommended voltage and amp rating. I`m hoping someone might have a source for this transformer. I looked at Mouser and Digikey but a 10 amp 48 volt transformer seems hard to find. I use Gechos on all the axes. Regards Barry Motor http://www.homeshopcnc.com/page3.html Holding torque-Nm (oz/in) +/- 10%...4.5 Rated voltage.....2.3 Rated current per phase (amps DC)...5.5 Resistance (Ohms) +/- 10%.....0.42 Induction (mH) +/- 20% typical.....3.5. Motor length (mm)....80 |

| Hi Barry Check Phil's page http://pminmo.com He has a 24V, 10A tranny specked out. It's not the 48V you were asking for. Steven |
