stepper motor with kcam

hi, i have a problem with my stepper motor it doesn't work with kcam my driver work with (l297, l298) with power supply 3A 18V , but when tested it with out interface with hand pulses in step pin work with low speed and satisfy torque , and try it with another pwr supply 12V it does work with kcam but with low speed and very low torque

when i use the 18V power supply i powered the interface with another power supply 12V
