I noticed there are commercial control boards that would accept both Unipolar and Bipolar motors. Any genie in here have come up with the magic potion to create that board??? Please grant my wish ![]() *because of my first bad experience with making a control board... I am afraid.......

| hi all the drivers for bipolar steppers , they can manage the monopolar steppers , 6 or 8 wires. the rare motors that have 5 wires, can be used only as monopolar . hi http://web.tiscali.it/toti_work_end_hobby/

| eidos - Although I dont speak/read Italian, I clicked through your link to the stepper driver page. The pictures say it all. That has to be the biggest ratio of heat sink to chip size possible. Central heating radiators, or what !!!
