Hello Bob.

I did not came across a complete application with the SLA7026, but I know someone who used this bridge behind a L297. So I will ask him if he has the shematics available. If you do need microstepping then a microcontroller is needed I think. I hope someone will come up with a nice appl. with a uP.
So if halfstep is enough, PM me for furher contact. ( I am Dutch too ).

I build a driver for a friend who salvaged a pcb with 3 SLA7026 drivers but no translator.
I put 3 times a L297 on a board to be controlled from a printer port by Mach 3 or Turbo CNC and connected that to the salvaged pcb.
As far as I know he got a router running with it.

I downloaded SLA7026 Datasheet, and it has very specific details on how to use it, now i am going to try it on a single Axis Stepper Driver i am building for a Transformer Winding Machine for Wire guide, I am using a Pic 16f873 to control it. So i am going to try it out first. Thank you

I think you made a good choice. Specialy when your control is not done by a CNC programm a uP is more flexible.

I am sorry whit my comment about Absat, hi replay derectly to my mail and give good help to my problem. In 2006 I have to go on a new PC and los al my data ( no back-up system) and go to the CNC.NL ( Dutch) so I los the connection you and my.
