| electronics help needed looking for a simple design so i push button, run to stop, then return to home stop. I am using stepper motor, I will provide pulses to drive motor, proper switches for both sides, 5v line level voltage, can use proper resistors to drive ic's. or cmos. or whatever is simpler. can do the signal inversion if needed? was looking at using a flip flop rs to run from home to end switch. the problem I have is it will cycle back and forth without stopping. so it needs to stop at the home position till the start button is pushed. maybe a nor? nand, inverter?? possibly could use a ne555 timer somehow? probly will use mechanical limits, but ? . what i need is a logic diagram or explanation of how to do it. My brain hurts, thought one of you could point me in the most sensible direction, maybe a single ic, a couple transistors? any help is appreciated. thanks, Steve |

| Very simple using two small relays 1 P.B. and 1 N.C./N.O L.S. and 1 N.C. L.S. The push button energize RL1 and will initiate run up to Stop, trip the N.C/N.O. LS and de-energize RL1 and pick up RL2 the motion will return to start and wait for P.B. I can draw it up if you need it. Al.
