I purchased some IGUS Chainflex data cables and they do not have a drain wire. I wanted to use it to make some stepper motor cables with DB9 connectors. Are there any accessories or anything to make an easy connection of the braided shield to ground? I tried soldering a wire to the braid, but the braid starts to frail. Any ideas? |

| For the smaller stuff, I will poke the conductors through the braid and use it as is. For the bigger stuff, I unbraid it and twist it into one big conductor. You can also just expose some of it and use a metallic conduit clamp to clamp onto the braided shield. Matt |
