Wink Incorrect Data Sheet from Manufacturer

    Hi,

Could someone please verify this for me?

Antek seems to have incorrect data sheets all over the place and they are not getting back to me.

If you look on the attached pdf, you will see the following:
    ------------------------------
    AC power connections:
115Vac – 2 red wires to neutral & 2 black wires to hot.
220Vac – 1st red wire to neutral, 1st black wire to 2nd red wire, and the 2nd
    black wire to hot.
    ------------------------------
    Here's the problem...
220VAC is not going to come from neutral to hot. It has to come from hot 1 to hot 2 in the USA. All their data sheets are like this and Keiling told me nobody else is having a problem, but that they would check with the manufacturer.

    Antek - PS-15N73

Good power supplies, but I just want to make sure that it is really rated for 220VAC.

    Thanks!

There are two primary coils. Each is rated for 120V. You put them in parallel for 120V, you put them in series for 240V. So with split phase 220/240 you will have one hot to red and one hot to black, with the other red and black connected together and insulated. No problem at all, it will work just fine.

220VAC is not going to come from neutral to hot. It has to come from hot 1 to hot 2 in the USA.
It is not really explained well in many dual voltage hook-ups, the confusion comes is that they also cater for places in the world that use one side of the 240v as a neutral.
For N.A. use, just ignore the term neutral when operating in the 240v mode.
The only thing that makes Neutral special is it is a conductor that is connected to Earth Ground.
