Where do you buy shielded wires?

I am wondering where can one buy shielded wires?

Maybe 4 conductor, 2 twisted pair, individually shielded, black color?

I have seen some online stores sell some but they are super expensive. You need to buy the whole spindle and its at least $200.

I need maybe 4 feet for 3 motors, so 12 feet in total. Where do people buy their wires or do they get the whole spindle?

Also what is the 'maximum' wire length based on conventional wisdom away from the driver board? 6 to 7 feet maximum before running into problems?

do you know of sources that sell individually shielded wires also? I can only find sellers that sell the entire spindle.

I recently bought 25' off fleebay to use on wiring my router. Sure, there a a lot of people that sell by the reel, but searching will revel some cut lengths and some by the foot.

Try "multicore alarm cable". Used for burglar alarm installations etc.

It is common to get in 4 core and 8 core. The quality brands have good shielding and fine core wire suitable for a lot of flex cycles.

I recently bought a whole box of 8 conductor, 22AWG, stranded, shielded cable. I'd be happy to get rid of some of it at cost. Its $0.30 a foot plus $5 usps flat rate priority shipping. If anyone wants any, send me a PM.
