I am new to this forum so you'll have to excuse my ignorance; I hope this is the right section to post this in. I am a senior at the University of Central Florida and majoring in mechanical engineering. For my senior design class, me and 4 other students will be making a CNC milling machine. My part is deciding on all the controls and software; creating a "black box" as they put it. What components would be involved for this and what should I look for. We have the option of buying parts or building our own, but the professor sponsoring us wants a total budget under $1000. Any help would be appreciated. |

| Gorillakilla, Look at the system electronics overview on my website: http://pminmo.com/ If your looking to keep costs down, there are boards that you can build yourself there also.
