I have a machine that I am adding a light curtain to in order to cut the machine off. I can do it easily by wiring the light curtain in series with the machines current e-stop button. But is this a no no ? Are you supposed to not have anything on the estop circuit but the E-stop?
You can have anything in the E-Stop string that requires an emergency stop of the machine, light curtain, O.T. switches, Watch-dog timer/charge pump, pressure mats etc.
This type obviously has to have the P.B. reset style of E-Stop circuit.
