I need to choose my stepper motors and followed the following logic - I'd appreciate any pointers/corrections. Given my desired feedrate and force (0.1m/s and 50kgf) I calculate the final power (50Watts). Factor in gearing losses by multiplying by 2, for 100W. Once I find a motor giving at least that power, I check the datasheet and set the gear ratio such that the motor's 'corner speed' provides the feedrate desired. (for 'corner speed' see Support) Sound ok? Sorry if this isn't the right forum, I couldnt find a stepper forum |
