I have the opportunity for a good deal on a couple of unregulated power supplies. They are the same specs but in order to use them I would need to combine the output in order to provide the current capability I am looking for. I would assume that simply connecting the outputs together will not correctly balance the load equally across the PSUs. I might also be worried about one PSU back feeding the other if the output ins not matched right. Is there a circuit I can put on the PSUs so that they balance correctly? Or am I over thinking this and simply connecting the two is fine... Richard |

| You say the same specs? if they are identical supplies it should not be a problem, if one is a significant lower voltage out it may not be the way to go. Al.

| They are the same specs but I imagine that there are likely manufacturing variances that could introduce as much as 10% variance. I figure if there is a simple circuit I'd rather be safe than sorry... For reference they are Antek (or more likely clones that someone made) PSUs. If I get them I would be the 4th owner... they have never been used. I believe them to be 105V 800W PSUs. Richard |
