    Fuji SRX3631-5-1/X Magnetic Contactor Wiring?

I am about to reconnect 1 of my machines and would like to reuse the magnetic contactor correctly. I have a manual lathe and a similar contactor was used, upon releasing the Estop, power was available at the contactor but nothing occurred until you pressed the "power start" in this case. Upon pressing this button momentary power was applied to a contact and a jumper locking the switch on until an E stop was triggered. Is this the way most contactors work? I do remember being very suspicious of the jumper really creating a locked on effect but it did. I do know the safety factor is better. I would like to repurpose this contactor to shut down, mach, and all electrical parts of the machine connected.

There are many examples out there for stop/start PB control where the contactor or E-stop relay is enabled by a N.C. E-stop or stop button and reset by a N.O. P.B. that has a retaining contact in parallel with it across the N.O. button.
    e.g. Motor Starter Control Circuits
You can use the main contacts for a either motor control or to switch off any necessary E-stop power, most contactors have at least the N.O. auxiliary contact and most will allow additional Aux contacts to be added or clipped on as needed.
