Hi. Let me start by presenting my problem. I have this school contest coming up and the person that was in charge of building the controller left the country. Now im stuck with the plans for the machine and no ideea about any kind of electronics involved in controlling the motors. I mean i have some basic knowledege, but very messed up( I don't know what is the difference between a driver and a controller, for example) Firstly i tried tu build the USB CNC Controller from Planet-CNC(i mention that i have advanced knwoledge in soldering but NOT electronics). After i built more than a half i discovered that the controller its not enough and i need also some drivers...and i could say that this drivers don't come cheap... So i had no solution. But i discovered yet another project, this time one from France i guess (here's the link:index01 ). This time i fully built the controller and it was a no go the motors kept getting hot i didn't know how to configure it properly and since i had no one experienced to help me i thought it was something wrong with the board and i disasembled it. After the second try i triend once again. This time with a more simple one with ULN2803 and some iN2001 diodes. This didn't work either, the motors didn't want to start... So, here's my problem/question. Does anyone know any schematic for a controller that i can just plug the parallel cable in, plug the motors , configure the software and get to work, and all this in a bord? I should mention that i have 3 small stepers max 1A(i dont have any datashet, because the motors are from some old printers). Any kind of help is need. aiting for your comments and god help, advices. Thanks for reading P.S.: Sorry if someone thinks that i have a bad english, im not from the conutry and also sorry if i misspelled some "h" 's. Thanks. EDIT: REWARD : IF SOMEWONE IS WILLING TO HELP ME WITH A FULLY DESIGNED CONTROLLER I WILL REPAY HIM WITH A FULL SET OF PLANS FOR A DESKTOP CNC I attached the cover for the set of plans. |

| ive tried that website too and i dont know wich one to build.... Thats why i asked here for help. Ive serached all the internet for a good design and with no results by now For example will this work? Because as far as i see it's a pretty simple, straight forward controller .http://www.pminmo.com/3axisPIC/3axisPIC.htm Last edited by coolblue; 03-24-2011 at 07:23 AM. |

| Over my years of experience I have learnt that technology does not come cheap, and if it comes cheap then it has some hidden troubles waiting to surface. I am suggesting that you contact industry experts in that field eg:- Electronics Magazine engineers, Defense engineers, Professors from electronics etc. Try to reach more experienced people in that particular industry or else you might feel wandered. Again, mine is only a sugession. |
