While cleaning up the back room at work and disposing of obsolete equipment, I found a power supply that I thought was going to be perfect for CNC. It was from an old dictophone and had outlets for 5v, 12v, and 24v. I figured the 5 will power the BOB, 12 for the fans, and 24 for the motors. Then I checked the amperage's. The 5 and 12 were fine, but the 24 is only .8 amps. I still might use it by removing the 24v transformer from the housing and using the extra space for the BOB and the drivers. Hopefully something else will pop up that I can use too. |
