Hello everyone, I am fairly new to this. I am currenty building a desktop router and it is time for the electronics, but the mor i read, the more confused I get. I am using nema 34 steppers 4.6 & 4.7 amps. and I know that the drivers need to match, so I have found these: DamenCNC - HP 5056 5,6A 50V driver 1/128 microstep but what about breakout board, can i use any, or does it need to match the drivers? and how will I know if it matches? and what do I need beside the above mentioned.

Based on the instruction manual, it looks like each driver board needs step and direction signals (which would come from a standard breakout board) as well as a 5-volt power supply (which might also be available from a breakout board). The driver boards also can handle an enable signal (which could come directly from an emergency power off button, or possibly from the breakout board). It appears to me that any typical breakout board designed to produce 5-volt step and direction signals should work with the driver.

In addition you need a power supply for the motors (in the range of 20 volts to 50 volts DC).
