    Schonbuch Electronic

Does anyone know of a US distributor for Schonbuch Electronic? I am looking for a proximity switch, part# ICBA0805.

    Thanks Darek

Is there anything special about it? If you know the specs. a sub. can usually be found. Unless it is some oddball physical dimensions the electrical characteristics usually don't present a problem.

Dimensions are 8mm diameter by 45mm length. Electrically it is 10-35V DC 200mA PNP. The only thing special would be the application. It is used on a Walter rotary table for homing. It detects a very small cutout in the ring gear hub.

That looks like a shielded type, Is it threaded? Omron make a E2E type 8mm x 30mm short barrel PNP, three wire -X1R5F1 (NO) or -X1R5F2 (NC). 1.5mm sense distance 200Ma.

No threads. After looking the specs over I believe the E2E-CR8B1 will see the small cutout. It is 4mm in diameter so I will have to sleeve it. It has a 100mA output which is fine in this application. They are just under $100 US from Newark. I found the Schonbuch website, no US distributor.

    Thanks Al

No problem. Apart from Omron, Other makes I go to and usually have success with are TURK and BALLUFF.
