hi, i have a motion control camera rig. it is a 6 axis rig, track, crab, swing, lift, tilt and pan. i have 2 spare controller boards and i would like to ad a focus puller so i can control the focus on the camera. to do this i would have to get the right stepper motor to work with the controller board. here is an example of one of the motors currently in the system. 2 phases Hybrid stepping motor Type: HY200-2240-460-B8 Step angle: 1,8° Step angle accuracy: 5% Rated phase current: 4,6 A Phase resistance: 0,48 Ω Phase inductance: 1,2 mH Holding torque bipolar: 130 Ncm Detent torque: 10 Ncm Rotor inertia: 330 gcm2 Weight: 0,5 Kg Insulation class: B Leads number: 8 the controller board amp output can be adjusted from 0-8 amps. can i use any 8 wire stepper motor or do i need to look at other specs to? would a 4 wire motor work or does it have to be 8 wire? the motor does not need as much torque as the other motors as focus pulling is not as heavy as say the track or lift. i would say a 1-2 amp motor would be fine. could anyone advise me on a motor that would work on my system or what specs to look at. thanks PietBez |
