Mazak QT 10 drives running backwards

I hooked up this machine and had the x axis only running backwards, so i switched some power wires going to the drives and it alarmed out and kicked out the breaker for the drives, but I could see the position page and when I moved the joy stick it was reading the right way, so I hooked up the wires the way they were originally and now both axes run backwards or opposite of the joystick. Also my chuck won't open or close, even when I switch from exterior chucking to interior chucking, no noise or clicking sound at all. This machine was sitting and had lost all of it's parameters. I also can't get the metric to inch back, driving me crazy!!!! 1985 QT10 with T1 controls, any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thx Mike

Ok I figured out the backward running drives, just a parameter, now I need to get it to run inch instead of metric and the chuck open close.
