| red is to the 12v wire black is to the ground. yellow is the rpm wire only used if you plug it into the board. most the time ----------------------------------------- yellow on the power supply is 12volt ,black is ground. red is 5 so red (fan)to yellow-black to black. I would use the wires used for harddrives/floppys. Stay away from the main board wires. you dont want to add noise. |

| If you intend using the Fan in your Power Supply, give a thought to connecting it across your smoothing Capacitors, (dropping the Voltage with a Regulator if needed), as this assists in bleeding the Voltage from them on shutdown. A nice safe 'Zero Volts' remain, the next time that you open the PSU Case. |
