need help with choosing elctronics for joe's cnc

hi, i am building a joes (2006) cnc but have no idea what electronics i should use with it.
i have heard that individual drivers are better since it gives you more flexibilty when upgrading so i am heading in that direction but am very unsure
any help would be appreiated
