Hi Just got an opportunity to buy an industrial grade CNC Machining Center very cheap. I have the space, but totally lost when it comes to electrical work. Just wondering if it's possible, and if so the estimated cost? I have three phase 230v in the garage, and the machine was specified with 70kVA. The spindlepower about 25kW AC + 3 axes. x,y,z. Thanks MV |

| 70 KVA at 230 Volts three phase comes out to about 175 Amps. It may be possible the machine will require 480 Volts 3 phase which would not be uncommon. In the 480 Volt three phase configuration, it comes out to about 85 Amps. I would think breakers at 100 Amp for 480 Volts, or 200 Amp for 230 Volts would be about right. Steve |
