Do servo and step motors use the same amount of wires??? If they do, do they connect the same way as step motors???

Nope, 4 wires, 5 wires and 6 wires, and thats just on thre steppers, most are color coordinateced, and depends on contollor boards.

so everyones setup is different from another with the different equipment used.
