Stepper Motor Control without a PC?

Does anyone know of a control board or control that would allow operation of a stepper motor with a dial for example, to make the motor spin. By turning the dial more would increase the speed. What I am trying to do is control the motor with out having to use a PC to control it just the dial.

I assume that you already have a driver for your stepper, and you just need a signal generator.
