Microphone DIN plugs My catalog say they are good for 10A max 32VDC. I want to use these for stepper motor wires. But my power supply will be at 48V. Although the steppers are only about 2-3amps not 10amps. Can I still use these plugs if they are rated at 32VDC and I want to run them at 3amps 48V?

| The small voltage difference is not a problem. The current specification will be the limiting factor. Too high a current will heat up the connection and cause contact overheating. If your contacts are ok for 10A and you are only using say 3A you should be well within the limits of the connector. |
