OK, there has to be someone that got one of these things to work. I have been messing with it all night and the fan will not turn on. Please let me know what it is I'm doing wrong. Thanks |

The white wire on the low voltage cable is for remotely turning and off the power from the typical momentary front panel button. No idea whether you ground or whatever. Some power supplies don't like running with no load, either. Many are not designed to run that way, typical of switchmode power supply designs. It may be working, but just a few switchmode pulses make it go overvoltage on the output and it shuts down. Listen and see if you can hear it going tick.. tick.. tick.. Put a car 12v/21W turn indicator lamp on the 5v circuit, then try it.

| 15 to 16 green to black turns a ATX on, if it is the older AT supply with the two flat power connectors then most of those did not need turn on, except power of course, but they usually needed a load. Al.
