We've purchased all the parts mostly from two suppliers. We informed both of them what we were doing with our Emco F1, and they recommended the parts we've purchased. We've been getting started on designing the layout and wiring of our control box for our machine. We've calculated the math on the correct voltage, amps, VA, VDC, etc... for our system, and the power supply doesn't seem to be adding up correctly. We would like to, and believe we should, wire our motors in parallel. What we have: Retrofitting Emco F1 with direct drive. 4 G203V Geckodrives 7A 80VDC max 4 NEMA 23 8-wire motors Parallel 1.9V 5.0 A/Phase 1.65mH/Phase Series 3.75V 2.5 A/Phase 1.65mH/Phase Transformer Antek AN-3220 300VA 20V http://www.antekinc.com/details.php?p=63 Capacitor 10,000 μF 70v According to the math we did the Capacitor may not be large enough. We aren't completely sure. Let us know if you need any other information or have any questions. Thanks for your help, Ray |
