| I am starting to wire up my bridgeport motor, but its a jin shin motor that is 220volt it is also 2 and 4 pole my question is there are 6 wires, 3 are all black and have U1 V1 W1,then there are 3 more wires that are all red with U2 V2 W2, should I be hooking up either all the blacks or all the reds I think that is how it should be done but I dont want to fry the motor.I will be using a VFD to run the motor single phase in and 3 phase out. Should I be hooking up T1 to U1,T2 to V1, and T3 to W1 because Im not really sure and cant find any info. on the internet anywhere. Thanks Mike |

| You may have two sets of windings, one for each speed configuration, test the continuity between all the reds and all the blacks, if there is no connection between each bank of three, then usually one bank is used, the other left unconnected. Al.
